Cherry Pipes win Regional KTP Award

This is a highly competitive award and around 30 projects were eligible for this prize. The KTP project was aimed at improving the quality of the company's products, minimising its environmental impact and improving the service it provides to customers. The award was presented by Alistair Hamilton the Chief Executive, Invest Northern Ireland and Dr Iain Gray, Chief Executive of the Technology Strategy Board who gave a speech on the night.

Mr Hamilton said: "The KTP programme enables local businesses to access skills and expertise from academic institutions. The programme has a significant impact on the growth of participating local companies allowing them develop innovative solutions to help their business grow."

Cherry Pipes, would like to thank all concerned in particular our partners at the Polymer Processing Centre at Queen's University Belfast and all those in the KTP office.

Cherry Pipes now go forward to the National KTP awards in London to represent Northern Ireland.
